How to Turn Off Communication on Echo Devices?

I have used many smart speakers and the Amazon Echo devices are the ones I love. I love these devices for various reasons. And whenever someone asks me about my Alexa device or Echo device I feel good to tell them how it works. And the same is the case on my website too. In this guide, I will tell you how you can disable or turn off communication on Echo Devices.

The Amazon Echo devices not only allow you to control your smart home and get some tasks done. But they also support calling. If you have an Echo device with a  screen then Amazon also lets you make video calls to other devices. But what if you want to disable this feature on your echo device?

Can you do that?

The answer to this question is Yes you can do it. It is very simple but you will need access to the Alexa app and the Amazon account to which the device is registered. So basically you will have to use the Amazon account that you have used to link and connect your device to the Wi-Fi Network.

What Changes After Turning Communication Off?

Once you turn off the communication the features like Drop-in, Alexa Calling, Messaging, and Announcements will be disabled.

Meaning you won’t be able to use these features on the particular Echo device on which you have turned off the communication. This is all it changes you can use the Echo device just as you did before.
